If You Think You Know What Love Is, Think Again! by Sally Huss
Love and the heart are some of my favorite subjects. I love to see love expressed at any opportunity and by anyone who happens to be expressing it,5803 Ugg Bailey Button Navy Boots. I think we all are richer by the love that is released into the world by each and every one of us.
Love is on my mind lately, as well as in my heart, because of a project I have been working on for sometime. It involves putting people together, helping people find someone to like or love. In doing so, various people wander into my gallery and chat about their lives and in many cases the love that is missing in their lives. These are wonderful people who just might be out of the loop of people and the opportunity of finding a partner,Bouncing Back After Setback And Disappointment by Andrea Waggener. It might be after a previous partner has moved on in some way. I try to cheer them up and inspire them to keep a look out, for surely there is someone who equals their desire for a friend or mate.
That's just one kind of love -- people to people. And then yesterday Mia wandered in. Mia is a golden doodle of such genuine sweetness no one could miss it. She is calm and patient and she instinctively knows who loves her. I love her. She comes right over to me and leans up against my leg, in a manner that is never aggressive or demanding, waiting for me to rub her neck and tell how wonderful she is. And I do because she is. Her owner, Cathy, has taken Mia to be trained for hospital work. She will be such a help to those who are shut-in and have little opportunity to give and receive love.
Then today a friend sent me an e-mail about an extraordinary Washington state man named Jeff who, through his love and efforts, salvaged an injured baby eagle 10 years ago. He called her Freedom and spent weeks hand-feeding her and nursing this little bird back to life. Because of her injuries he knew she could never fly, so he glove trained her and took her to do educational programs at schools.
Then Jeff was diagnosed with non-hodgkins lymphoma and under went 8 rounds of chemo. During that time he took Freedom out for walks. She also showed up in his dreams, seeming to help him fight the cancer. On the day he was given a clean bill of health he took Freedom out for another walk. She somehow knew of his triumph. He said she looked at him and wrapped both her wings around him to where he could feel her wings on his back. Then she touched his nose with her beak and stared into his eyes. That was a magic moment for him.
There were many other extraordinary healings involving this bird. It all came from the love this man had for this bird and this bird's tremendous appreciation in return,What is it that you want to feel. It is a story that one might not believe, but I saw the picture that proved it -- Jeff with his Freedom snuggled up against his chest.

So what does this have to do with eagles

There is an old adage which states, "It's difficult to soar with the eagles, when you're scratching with the turkeys,Go to the audition or stay home!" While this is absolutely true, it gets worse - scratching with the turkeys can actually keep you from enjoying the success which is available to everyone!
Of course, in the context of this article, the term "eagle" refers to the high achievers that we all know, while "turkey" refers to the habitually negative, mean-spirited people who seem to be everywhere.
Earl Nightingale, sometimes known as the father of modern day personal development (and a definite eagle!), discovered what he called the Strangest Secret "We become what we think about most if the time."
Also known as the Universal Law of Attraction, what this "secret" means is that we attract into our lives, that upon which we place our dominant thoughts. If we continually think about and focus on problems, then that is what we attract. If, on the other hand, we focus on prosperity and abundance, then that is what we attract.
So what does this have to do with eagles, turkeys and our relationships? Well, just about everything!
First, if we attract situations aligned with our thoughts, then it stands to reason that we also attract people who are consistent with our thought patterns.
Second, it also stands to reason that if we maintain unhealthy, non-supportive or toxic relationships then this is a reflection of our own thoughts.

From poor self-esteem to destructive thought patterns and activities, we will sabotage our ability to succeed. If we begin to adopt the thought patterns, habits and tendencies of those around us, inevitably they will deliver results aligned with these characteristics. There are 3 things you can begin doing immediately to help in this area:
1. Take a look at your current relationships and determine whether they are supportive and enriching or toxic and destructive. A clue here is to examine how you feel about yourself when around various people.
2. If you identified any relationships which are not mutually supportive and do not empower you, or that drain your energy and make you feel badly about yourself, take steps to distance yourself from the people involved FAST!
3. Make a plan to change your thought patterns. Become abundance and prosperity focused and concentrate on developing only relationships which are enriching, supportive and empowering!
The bottom line is this - if there are people in your life that drain your energy, make you feel badly about yourself or hold you back, then you must take appropriate action, and quickly!

Now that you have your list of old goals and dreams
Finding Your Inner Flame: Finding Passion Series
Why is it that some goals have a fire and a passion behind them that creates an almost self-propelled drive towards completion, while other goals are left dead in the water before they've hardly even begun? What causes that level of motivation to manifest itself,diverse project through the input of several unique viewpoints.? Can we harness it? Can we predict when and where it will hit? The answers lie in finding out if the person setting the goal is in touch with his or her own deepest desires,5803 Ugg Bailey Button Navy Boots. Do they really understand who and what they are? Do they really know what it is that drives them?
Write down a list of goals and dreams you've set for yourself over the years. Take a nice long trip down memory lane. Think about the kinds of goals and dreams you set for yourself when you were a child, a teenager, a young adult. Look at what kinds of goals you began listing when you became a spouse,Are you speaking your truth to enhance the relationship, a parent, an employee, or a boss. Don't worry if you can't remember every single goal you've ever set for yourself. Don't make the assignment into a research project and a headache. But I do want you to spend a bit of time with it.
Now that you have your list of old goals and dreams, make some kind of a checkmark or run a highlighter over the ones that had a strong powerful effect on you and you couldn't possibly put them down. These are most likely the ones that you accomplished. If you didn't accomplish them, do they still haunt you? Do they still beg to be completed? Don't start counting and keeping score as to how many you followed through to the finish and how many you let drop aside. It really doesn't matter at all what kind of a success rate you may or may not have had before today. This isn't about that, I just want you to separate the ones that did put a fire in your belly from the ones that had no fire or passion behind them.
Now, take your list of positive traits and attributes from Finding Yourself and compare it to your list of old goals and dreams. How many of the goals that had you all fired up were somehow connected to the wonderful things we found are within you? If for example, you found out that one of your positive traits is that you are intelligent, then how many of the goals you were really passionate about involved using your intelligence,stocks the fridge? How many of them were about developing or enhancing your intelligence? If you found out that you are funny, how many of the goals and dreams that you loved were somehow connected to your sense of humor?
Okay, now do the same thing with your list of things you want to be from Finding Direction. How many of those goals appealed to the roots of who or what you want to become? If you want to be remembered as adventurous, then how many goals from your past were centered around an adventurous spirit? How many of the goal you were really excited about made you feel or appear to be adventurous? If your desire is to be financially secure, then how many of your most passionate dreams were wrapped around that concept? How many of them promised to push you in that direction?
You're probably starting to get the point. The items on those first two lists spark the flame of passion needed to carry out goals and dreams. The more items from both lists that you bring into play, the more motivated you will be to finish the goal involved. Each item adds more and more of your own personal drive and inspiration to the dream. Naturally, the reverse is true too. If you had few or even none of the items from the first two lists involved in a goal or dream, you probably gave up and quit out of boredom. If it was a very important goal with a lot of guilt or pressure forcing you to do it, like going to college when you really didn't want to, then you probably struggled a lot and really had to force yourself to stay focused and motivated. You probably found yourself saying that you "ought" to complete that goal or that you "should" complete that goal. The other thing that can happen is that some outside person like your folks or a boss was hanging over your head telling you that you "ought" to do it or that you "should" do it. Only those goals that contained your own personal drive and focus were a joy to complete and had a motivation all their own that nobody else needed to spur you along.
With this information in mind, you can really look at a list of current projects you're working on and see how many of them appeal to who or what it is that you want to be and how many of them allow you to really utilize your favorite traits about yourself. Is there enough of your own personal drive behind them to insure that you go the long haul and finish them? Do you need to redesign them so that they will touch your heart in such a way as to empower you with excitement and joy to keep going through the difficult or tedious parts? If you really have to do something that you don't want to, is there a way to bring pieces of those two lists into it so that you can tolerate the task in a different light?
You should be able to evaluate your future plans against these two lists and get a fairly accurate prediction as to whether or not you're really going to stick to it. Then you can invest your time and energy in things that serve you and your need to become someone that you feel is wonderful.

If your desire is to be financially secure, then how many of your most passionate dreams were wrapped around that concept? How many of them promised to push you in that direction?
You're probably starting to get the point. The items on those first two lists spark the flame of passion needed to carry out goals and dreams. The more items from both lists that you bring into play, the more motivated you will be to finish the goal involved. Each item adds more and more of your own personal drive and inspiration to the dream. Naturally, the reverse is true too. If you had few or even none of the items from the first two lists involved in a goal or dream, you probably gave up and quit out of boredom. If it was a very important goal with a lot of guilt or pressure forcing you to do it, like going to college when you really didn't want to, then you probably struggled a lot and really had to force yourself to stay focused and motivated. You probably found yourself saying that you "ought" to complete that goal or that you "should" complete that goal. The other thing that can happen is that some outside person like your folks or a boss was hanging over your head telling you that you "ought" to do it or that you "should" do it. Only those goals that contained your own personal drive and focus were a joy to complete and had a motivation all their own that nobody else needed to spur you along.
With this information in mind, you can really look at a list of current projects you're working on and see how many of them appeal to who or what it is that you want to be and how many of them allow you to really utilize your favorite traits about yourself. Is there enough of your own personal drive behind them to insure that you go the long haul and finish them? Do you need to redesign them so that they will touch your heart in such a way as to empower you with excitement and joy to keep going through the difficult or tedious parts? If you really have to do something that you don't want to, is there a way to bring pieces of those two lists into it so that you can tolerate the task in a different light?
You should be able to evaluate your future plans against these two lists and get a fairly accurate prediction as to whether or not you're really going to stick to it. Then you can invest your time and energy in things that serve you and your need to become someone that you feel is wonderful.

Get Out Those Legos
Many of my clients are working harder than smarter. This is not a put-down of their intelligence. It is a statement about the conventions of the way most of us live and work. Without a concerted effort to step back and take an objective look at how we function day in and day out, we find ourselves subject to old ways of doing things without periodic checkups to see if they are working.
The first step to changing the high stress road to burnout approach to your work day is to build in "joy breaks" or mini refreshers,"You're happy. It is not true that you get more done if you don't stop for lunch or other refreshing breaks during the day. On the contrary, I always remember the days I sat at my desk searching for a solution to a particular problem. I tried very hard to come up with the answer and was not successful.
In the afternoon of the second day, I threw my hands in the air, exasperated, and went out to pull a few weeds from my garden. That's when the light bulb went off and I had the answer.
In order to have meaningful joy breaks a plan is necessary. Start by making a list of things you consider fun and refreshing that can be done in 5 or 10 minutes,5803 Ugg Bailey Button Navy Boots, a half hour, an hour or more. Then list the supplies you will need to have on hand when you want to do that activity: magazines, puzzles, a musical instrument, books, CD's,Lina Wertmuller and Jane Campion., running shoes, Legos, phone numbers of friends or family, gardening gloves, crayons, paints, jelly beans, yoga instructions, a basketball, a movie schedule, etc. Make sure that your breaks have NOTHING to do with your work.
You will experience even more benefits than feeling refreshed. You will start thinking out of the box, be more creative, productive, and make better decisions. You will also notice that there are more facets to your personality than are reflected in your work. You may remember old interests you forgot about or discover new talents you would like to develop. Your joy breaks will bring more joy to your daily life and make you a more pleasant person to be around.
At some point you may want to take a closer look and examine in greater depth how you are spending not only your work life, but your whole life. Are you actually doing what you are supposed to be doing in the world? We will take a deeper look into that in the future.

African Americans
African Americans: A Look in the Mirror, Part 1

At present, African Americans stand at the crossroads of great hopes for wealth and freedom exceptional for the great-and great, great-grandchildren of former slaves and great despair caused by family disintegration, generational poverty, educational disparities and the digital divide. The threat is that we will form a permanent underclass is this new society as the demand for skilled and highly educated workers and new business owners reaches a peak.
You might not like me too much for the data I present in this chapter that reveals the depths of our situation. Bill Cosby has been speaking out about these things and has taken some heat for his coarse rhetoric. We can't change our situation until we know what we are changing. I believe that once you see the data, you will be compelled to make some changes. According to the U,he/she can't give a Leadership Talk..S. Census Bureau, over 70% of black children are born out of wedlock. Many times, the father is absolutely out of the picture. Single moms have the toughest job there is in this country. No work demands as much immediate attention and delayed gratification. You cannot pay someone enough to do this job yet the single black mom is the poorest demographic in our society. An unimaginable 39% of black female heads of household and 33% of black children are living below the poverty line compared to 18.6% of white female heads of household and 9.6% of white children. The true shame is that all odds are stacked against these families compounding every challenge normally faced with raising children into healthy, confident and independent adults. They face long odds when it comes to living in poverty, being victimized by violence, lacking quality education, low self-esteem and poor role models.
Having a loving father around is a spiritually, mentally, emotionally and financially stabilizing force needed by every child. The numbers bear this out to be true. Only 7.1% of black married couple families live below the poverty line and only 3.3% of white married couple families live below the poverty line. God created the family to consist of both a father and mother and all other arrangements are sub-optimal for children. Be that as it may, everyone must also make the best of their situation as it may be right now.
The reality is that 300 years of slavery has devastated the African American family unit. There are many African American families that are loving and meeting the needs of their children that we don't here about that share in the values and beliefs that stable families are good for our children. The challenge is that we were deliberately denied the benefits of family for too long. Saving the African American family needs to be the number one priority of every organization that says its purpose is to help black people. A father is the first competitive edge any young person can have in this world. A young person of any race that is raised in a fatherless home has several strikes against him or her already.
Building and strengthening African American family is the first preliminary step we need to take to get started on the track to building wealth as a people in this society.

While much has been written about goals little has been set downabout the courage required to set goals in the first place.
It doesn't take much digging to see many people are living with fear,5803 Ugg Bailey Button Navy Boots, frustration and doubt. Who among us can say we haven't had a restless night worrying about what disaster could befall us the next day?
The more I read about the science of thought ("The Field" by Lynne McTaggart for example) the more I am convinced thoughts are things. Our thoughts can serve up dark images of despair or they can paint pictures of joy, laughter and deep abiding happiness.
It is our thinking, more than our surroundings, which determines our level of happiness. Hold a thought and you will create an emotion. That emotion drives a behavior which in turn creates an event.To change your events you first must alter your thoughts.
For those of us who have spent any time reading Self Improvement literature 'positive thinking' is not a new idea. In fact it's almost tempting to read the 'thoughts are things' message and dismiss it as a cliche´.
The challenge, for the most of us, is to get off the well worn path of pessimistic thinking to a place where your thoughts create feelings of joy and hope. So how do you do it?
First know that thoughts and emotions don't have to rule your life. They can in fact be harnessed to further your goals. The more you practice becoming conscious of your thoughts and emotions, the greater your ability to shape and control them. Therefore encouraging only those thoughts that will produce empowering emotions.
Think about the person you want to become. Picture that person going through their normal day. What are they wearing? Where are they going? How do they get there? Who do they spend time with and what kind of conversations do they have with others? What kind of contribution is this person, this "future you", making?
Get clear on these images.
Now imagine how this person feels. What emotions do they carry with them? When you look at them at their very best, what words come to mind?
What kind of thoughts go through their mind? What thoughts would this person simply not give energy to? Need some help defining some of the positive beliefs and thoughts your future self will carry? Check out the StepOne Affirmation Library. It's well organized and filled with great quotes, beliefs and positive thoughts.
Once you've got clarity on your future thinking, take a moment and write the thoughts down,Treat yourself to a manicure. Capture both the positive thoughts your future self will carry and the negative thoughts you have today that your future self will discount.
You've just taken a significant step forward.What you have just done (or maybe you are just about to do) lays the foundation on which all your other work will stand.So what is next?
If you're building a StepOne Vision Board enter these thoughts in the Affirmations section of the 'My Profile' page. If you're not yet a StepOne member, print out your Positive Thoughts List on a piece of paper and your Negative Thoughts List on another sheet.
Know that we attract to us that on which our thoughts dwell. If our thoughts are about things we don't want we will attract those things to us; if our thoughts are about those things we do want, we will attract those things to us just as easily. So, think about what you want!
Post your Positive Thoughts List in a place where you'll be able to read them every day. As for your Negative Thoughts List, print that out too. Hold the Negative Thoughts List in front of you.Now promise yourself to leave no place in your mind for these thoughts any longer.
The thoughts may pass through your mind again but they will not be allowed to stay. Ideally, say this to yourself in the mirror as if you were making a solemn promise to your best friend. Now take that Negative Thoughts List and destroy it. What do I mean by destroy it? Crumple it up, cut it up, shred it or burn it over the sink.
Want to make this experience really powerful? As you're writing down your lists put on your favorite motivational music. Crank the volume! Building your Positive Thoughts List works best when you're on an emotional high and there's nothing like great music to get you there.
So you've got some clarity on your future self.You have defined the thoughts your future self will carry and those they will leave behind.
The next step is to apply all of this and change your day to day thinking.easier said than done I understand.
Here's the good news,The nine initial prominent successful leaders who overcame adversity that were interviewed included, if you can catch yourself holding a negative thought early enough you can usually stop it from turning into an emotional reaction. So how do you lift yourself out of negative thinking patterns?Try the Rubber Band technique.
Get a rubber band that fits snuggly on your wrist. Each time you find yourself holding onto a thought that doesn't serve you, snap the rubber band.And not just a small wimpy snap. You're looking for a big,Do You Say What You Mean, 'SNAP!'. The kind of snap that makes you wince. This is where the normal Rubber Band technique ends.
The StepOne version of the exercise takes itwella step further (forgive the pun). As soon as you've stopped reeling from the wicked snapping you've put on yourself repeat the positive thought you want to carry instead.If you can repeat it three times aloud (ideally you're not amid friends when all this is happening as you'll get some odd glances) then you're hitting the right spot of mental reprogramming.
For example let's say you are working hard to reach and then maintain a certain weight.You have identified a negative thought you often repeat that goes something like 'Just have whatever you want, you will never lose the weight anyway. After giving yourself a proper snapping you quickly say 'I only eat food that strengthens and replenishes my body'.Repeat this three times.
You'll find that in no time at all you will change your thinking around reaching a given goal.
Do Not forget that it's actually possible to benefit by using to achieve all you want out of life. Live Courageously!

The weekend before Passover
Telling a Story of Freedom by Lisa Bloom
I have met so many amazing people that have undergone an exodus from slavery in their lives. The slavery to a mismatched career and job that they hate, the slavery of a loveless relationship, the slavery of the search for the perfect person that will fill the void, the slavery to money and materialism that is empty of any meaning or fulfillment. And they have gone on a journey to freedom - it is one of the most inspiring stories you can hear!
Often slavery is hard to identify, it lies hidden in the desires and dreams that we imagine, it lurks in the lives we create when we forget our values or get tricked into leading someone else's life.
And Freedom, sometimes it is not where we expect - it may not be in a job, a place or a person. Freedom must be within, from somewhere deep inside of each and every one of us - definable only by each person for themselves.
The weekend before Passover, we went to Eilat on the Red Sea for the weekend. We traveled through the desert by car to get there. The drive was spectacular. It never ceases to amaze me how colorful the desert terrain can be. The different shades of brown, yellow and red are dazzling and as we stopped just passed half way for a coffee and stretch, I was surprised by the cold evening air as the desert night drew in. The boys shared hot chocolates, I had a nice creamy cappuccino and we munched on the sandwiches I had prepared for the journey,the part where instinctive thoughts and behaviors are stored. In effect. We arrived in Eilat via the mountain road so the first view the kids got of the place was the rows of lights way down below that stretched across the valley to Akaba in Jordon. They were so excited too finally reach Eilat after the long journey!
Next morning we went to the Dolphin Reef. It's an amazing place. Living there are 8 dolphins that have experienced the 'Open Sea Project'; the sea enclosure, a netted area they live in was opened up so that the dolphins could choose to come and go as they please. The project was very successful but ended a few years ago as the ability to protect the dolphins in the open sea area of the bay was becoming more and more challenging and financial resources were short. The interaction between the trainers and the dolphins is one of mutual affection and respect. When they feed the dolphins,when I hear "A Summer Place, they play with them, and check that they are well and they explained to us all about them,5803 Ugg Bailey Button Navy Boots, each one's name and character and answered any questions we had.
It is truly an awe-inspiring experience to be close to these amazing creatures. I was lucky enough to go diving in the dolphin enclosure. It was the first time I had been diving in over 10 years so just getting back to the quiet and weightless sensation of diving was wonderful. But then, to be sharing this sea space with these amazing creatures was a blessing,you will prove yourself a winner.
My first impression was how big the dolphins are; as they swam by, the seemed quite enormous. And then I noticed the sounds they make and how incredibly fast they swim. And of course, the fact that they are smiling all the time! How can you not love this playful, swift, elegant, smiling giant as it glides by upside down clicking away!
The dolphins chose to go out to the open sea, but returned to the enclosure each time. They have formed relationships with the people at the dolphin reef that feed them and take care of them. These are the people that love them and care for them - they are not forced to do tricks or to entertain, they are given the freedom to exist in the most natural state possible.
I received a great gift when I dived with the dolphins; the gift that nature grants us when we pay attention, the gift of freedom to enjoy the beauty and wonder that is all around us.
Perhaps this is the best explanation of freedom. We are free when we are encouraged to be our true selves, to have the right and the ability to choose where we want to live. We are free when we chose to recognize the magnificence that surrounds us.
We are free when we dare to venture out to the open sea and then choose to come home!

The boys shared hot chocolates, I had a nice creamy cappuccino and we munched on the sandwiches I had prepared for the journey,the part where instinctive thoughts and behaviors are stored. In effect. We arrived in Eilat via the mountain road so the first view the kids got of the place was the rows of lights way down below that stretched across the valley to Akaba in Jordon. They were so excited too finally reach Eilat after the long journey!
Next morning we went to the Dolphin Reef. It's an amazing place. Living there are 8 dolphins that have experienced the 'Open Sea Project'; the sea enclosure, a netted area they live in was opened up so that the dolphins could choose to come and go as they please. The project was very successful but ended a few years ago as the ability to protect the dolphins in the open sea area of the bay was becoming more and more challenging and financial resources were short. The interaction between the trainers and the dolphins is one of mutual affection and respect. When they feed the dolphins,when I hear "A Summer Place, they play with them, and check that they are well and they explained to us all about them,5803 Ugg Bailey Button Navy Boots, each one's name and character and answered any questions we had.
It is truly an awe-inspiring experience to be close to these amazing creatures. I was lucky enough to go diving in the dolphin enclosure. It was the first time I had been diving in over 10 years so just getting back to the quiet and weightless sensation of diving was wonderful. But then, to be sharing this sea space with these amazing creatures was a blessing,you will prove yourself a winner.
My first impression was how big the dolphins are; as they swam by, the seemed quite enormous. And then I noticed the sounds they make and how incredibly fast they swim. And of course, the fact that they are smiling all the time! How can you not love this playful, swift, elegant, smiling giant as it glides by upside down clicking away!
The dolphins chose to go out to the open sea, but returned to the enclosure each time. They have formed relationships with the people at the dolphin reef that feed them and take care of them. These are the people that love them and care for them - they are not forced to do tricks or to entertain, they are given the freedom to exist in the most natural state possible.
I received a great gift when I dived with the dolphins; the gift that nature grants us when we pay attention, the gift of freedom to enjoy the beauty and wonder that is all around us.
Perhaps this is the best explanation of freedom. We are free when we are encouraged to be our true selves, to have the right and the ability to choose where we want to live. We are free when we chose to recognize the magnificence that surrounds us.
We are free when we dare to venture out to the open sea and then choose to come home!

it's likely that you're farther along on the curve than you think. In his book
Time Management, Planning and the Sigmoid Curve by Harold Taylor
Charles Handy in his book, The Age of Paradox, makes an interesting case for launching a second career before the first one starts going downhill. Or a second business before the first one starts to falter,and yet they actually depend upon a supply of labour and materials. Or a new product before the sales on the first one starts to peter out. Handy feels the Sigmoid Curve, an s-shaped curve tilted forward, sums up the story of life.
For example, if we start a new business, we usually start slowly, sales take off, and then level off and finally start to decrease. The time to make a change is while we're approaching the crest of the curve, while everything is going great. At that point we have the energy and resources needed to get a new curve through its faltering first stage. But we are reluctant to change when things are going great and tend to ride the first curve down to oblivion. The various stages of growth are marked on the diagram.
Take products for example. I have probably developed over 100 products over the last 30 years,you're going to get what you have always gotten, if you include manuals, self-study programs, books, training programs, videos and so on. But we probably have less than 50 available on our website at any one time. You can't wait until one product fizzles out before developing a new product. When things are going well, it's easy to sit back and do nothing. My public seminars were still doing well when I started doing teleseminars, and electronic products on flash memory sticks were developed long before book sales declined,Although the rule is not to quit. You shouldn't wait for sales to plummet before introducing something new.
My experience in large companies showed that such things as austerity programs and cost-cutting measures took place whenever the company was on a downswing - at a time when the company could ill afford the damaged morale and resentment that normally ensued. By then it was too late anyway. Band-Aid approaches seldom work. Companies should have examined their spending habits during prosperous times when sales and profits were soaring. Living high on the hog during good times and panicking during recession is no way to run a company.
I like the concept of the Sigmoid Curve because it is more than just planning, it's anticipation.
A similar situation could occur in our personal life as well. And when the source of the extra money dries up, we find ourselves unable to stop the downward spiral to bankruptcy.

Instant Gratification is Your Friend! by Vicky White
Instant gratification has a bad rap! For a choc-oholic it's gobbling down the chocolate for that few minutes of bliss even though if you eat enough of it your body doesn't feel the best and you'll outgrow your clothes. For a spend-oholic it's buying that bright sparkly thing you just have to have, and dealing with the credit card payment later....or not!
But for the clutter-oholic there's a way to turn your addiction into instant gratification and the kind you don't pay for later,but remember you have to be precise to the point.
And why would you want to do this?
If your life is full of clutter you're suffering. You know you can't be your best. You know you're not thinking clearly or being as creative as you would like. You know you feel bogged down, frustrated and you feel part of your life has been stolen from you. You're consumed with all this stuff. You're ready to uncover the real you. And you're tired of feeling overwhelmed and stressed in your own home or office.
Here are 7 tips for using your clutter for instant gratification and experiencing an energy rush that will change your life! And that's no idle claim.
1. Choose a room to start in. Perhaps you've looked at what's happening in the Wealth & Prosperity area of your home and you're going to start in that room. In Feng Shui, the Wealth & Prosperity area of your home is the far left corner when you're standing at your front door looking in.
Perhaps your office bugs you the most. Perhaps you've decided your relationship life needs a shake up so you'll start in your bedroom. Or perhaps it's your closet that needs decluttering. Choose one room or space.
2. You're going to take everything (or most things) out of this space: so you need to decide where to put them. Do you have a spare bedroom you can use temporarily? 4. Clean, clear, paint, enjoy: This is where you get rid of the old stuck energy that hangs around even when you remove the physical clutter. Vacuum, dust, and then clap your hands up and down the corners of a room or closet to disperse stuck energy. If this space needs painting this is the time to do it.
And then,I must have ran into her at least twenty times during my year-and-a- quarter of living here, sit in this space and soak up the energy. I've had more than one client do this and then not want to put anything back as it felt so good. This is where you get to experience the instant gratification I'm talking about. All that feeling of stuck energy is gone and you can finally breathe. You've created space for something new, in one fell swoop.

Relief, possibility, spaciousness, expansion......? Take some time to soak it up. Perhaps it's time to do some journaling?? Some dreaming??
This is where you get to experience a new you - a you without all the stuff you've been carrying around. You've made yourself more important than your stuff. The Universe is smiling - you've freed yourself to discover who YOU are.

You now have this wonderful space where you have room to breathe and be creative. You're not going to put all the relics of your past self back in there and bog yourself down again, right? This is your new beginning. Even if it's a closet, when you create a space that reflects your highest aspirations and dreams it will support you in moving towards them.

mum worries about dropping something on it. Because the cooker is different

I moved into a new home a few weeks ago,works for me if it's easy to listen to.. Next week my mother, who is in her eighties, will be moving as well. Moving house is meant to be one of the top few causes of stress in modern day living. These days we move home far more frequently than our ancestors did. Perhaps this is why I found my last move to be pretty easy, and I have to say, not at all stressful.
My mother, on the other hand has been experiencing anxiety and stress ever since the decision was made to move. She is the type of person who worries about what might go wrong, and I often find myself observing that there is no point worrying about something that is in all likelihood not going to happen. Even when I took her on holiday earlier this year I did not tell her what was planned until a relatively short period of time beforehand - so that she had less time to worry. Once on holiday, of course, my mum had a great time; everything went well and the trip was entirely stress-free. The only stress experienced was before the holiday as a result of her own imagination.
Some of us tend to be more prone to experiencing anxiety and tension than others, and nearly all of us become more anxious as we get older. Things which in the past we would have found straight forward and simple become less easy to deal with. It can be difficult for a child to see ones parents becoming less able and less confident, but it is far more difficult for the parent who is frustrated by their inability to do that which they used to do.
My mum is moving into my home. It is a beautiful and comfortable home; everything is new and modern. Yet to someone who worries even this can be stressful. Because the carpet is new, mum worries about dropping something on it. Because the cooker is different,this is clearly nonsense, she worries about how to use it. Even the positioning of light switches has become a source of worry. The good news is that I know that once my mum has moved none of these worries will actually become a reality. She will have a warm and spacious home, in the centre of town, with family at close hand. She will still have her independence and I'm sure she will be comfortable and happy.
If you were to take age out of this equation and simply examine the effect of different attitudes, one can easily see the great and inexorable impact of one's own beliefs and expectations. I saw my move as great, and simply a matter of organization,5803 Ugg Bailey Button Navy Boots. In the week before the move boxes were packed as efficiently as possible, the removal firm came on the designated day and put everything into their van and delivered it into the new home. A little bit of unpacking and job done! Time for dinner and a glass of champagne to celebrate!
By contrast, my mother's move already seems to have been happening for weeks and endless weeks. I had planned to do it for her...but this was never going to happen. Every day something is examined, wrapped and either boxed or given away. More and more boxes pile up, more and more chaos reigns...More and more anxiety and stress is experienced. The expectation of it being stressful makes it stressful for my mother. Her own expectations that the move would be difficult are what make it increasingly more difficult.
Unfortunately my mother always does things her own way and she is not the best listener. I only wish that she was, as then we, her family, could help more. Ironically, in my profession as a hypnotherapist, I help people with stress all of the time. I know how to show someone how to relax with hypnosis, but only when I have a willing subject. The fact is that stress, anxiety and tension are caused by oneself; you think yourself into experiencing events or circumstances as stressful. If you are willing, anybody and everybody, no matter what age you are, can learn to relax and relieve stress and tension with a little help from hypnosis.
Hypnosis is a state of relaxation which also allows access to your subconscious mind, the part where deep rooted habits and beliefs are held.
